HAPPY VALENTINE’S!

Toronto, Ontario

It has been a tough year for everyone and we could all use a “pick me up”, especially this month. Am I right?

The one suggestion I have is to actually DO something for Valentine’s Day!

If you are in a relationship, obviously do something for each other, but don’t forget about your family members and friends –  those who are single, going through a break-up or just stuck at home in lockdown. Contrary to popular belief, Valentine’s Day is not only for lovers, but for all those whom we love and hold affection for.

My beautiful mama

A beautiful bouquet of flowers, chocolates, a bottle of bubbly, a special book, a handmade card or a take-out meal are all thoughtful and loving gestures.

You could also bake cookies or cupcakes and drop them off.  No time or not comfortable in the kitchen? There are tons of small, local bakers out there trying to survive in these times of Covid so ordering from them is a win-win for all three parties involved.

I guarantee you that anything you do for your loved ones this Valentine’s Day will be appreciated. And the best part is that by making others feel happy you will feel happy too. And isn’t happiness an essential part of love?

XO, LALA
