April is in full bloom! Cold weather and the month of March are long gone… yippee! So, today I am sharing my favorites from last month. Basically, a highlight of some of the things I used, enjoyed and that really stood out to me… and, in my opinion, deserve a good, standing ovation!

FASHION
I am starting the round-up with my favorite jammies. This is the perfect PYJAMA SET for the “middle” seasons like spring and fall – not too heavy, not to light and made with a fabric that feels super soft and so comfortable. I also love that it’s nice and flowing. The pyjama top has a low cleavage, which makes it feel dressy and kinda sexy. And the best part? The pants have pockets for your phone!!! As much as I liked the pyjama sets I already owned, THESE are now my go-to’s.
Staying on the Sleepwear/loungewear theme, this luxurious 100% silk KIMONO ROBE has been on heavy rotation, too. This was a gift from the Hubby… and so well loved and worn! With its beautiful printed pattern on the front and back, a Kimono collar, and sash tie closure, this short robe is definitely a treat to wear. It comes in a myriad of colours and lenghths. Soft, slinky and feminine, this robe makes a perfect gift for a girlfriend, wife or mom… and just in time for Mother’s Day!
As soon as the warmer weather appears, out come my white sneakers. I love to wear mine with everything – from pants to dresses to skirts. I walk everywhere here in Toronto, so THESE Sam Edelman sneakers are ideal. They are such a comfy and stylish pair. If you are not into white, they come in different colours- so you are bound to find a pair you love that works with your wardrobe and style.
WELLNESS
If you read my blog post HERE, you know that one of my key words for 2021 is self-care. A great part of this journey and focus is reading more inspirational articles and books. I just finished reading THE RIPPLE EFFECT by Dr. Greg Wells – performance psychologist, medicine researcher and former professor at the University of Toronto. His book explains how sleep, fitness and nutrition interact to help build and maintain optimal cognitive awareness and improve overall health. It’s an easy, uncomplicated read that has inspired me to make small changes that will have a big impact in may life now and for the years to come.
I don’t know about you, but this COVID 19 pandemic has also left me feeling very tired, stressed and emotionally drained. And I know many of my friends and loved ones are going through the same thing. I stumbled upon THIS very informative article by Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith, where she explains the different types of rest humans need and how to achieve each one.
BEAUTY
Of course, I have to share a most favourite product in my skincare routine: Skinceuticals CE FERULIC. This Vitamin C serum is part of a fantastic trio of high potency antioxidants and is formulated for both men and women. I love it because it has transformed my skin from dull and lifeless to radiant and plump. Plus, it neutralizes free radicals and boosts collagen production. This is one phenomenal SERUM ! It contains 15% Vitamin C (pure L-ascorbic acid ) the highest potency and most efficacious formula available in the market! Backed by 30 years of environmental research and proven results. I know it is on the pricier side, but worth every penny! It’s my ride-or-die! For more, hop on over to my Instagram and check out my REEL.
If you have been following me here for a while you know that I have been experiencing hair loss and thinning for quite some time. So, in my quest for healthy hair and scalp, I have tried many shampoos and conditioners. My newest and favorite is the PRAIRIE NATURALS MARINE COLLAGEN AND BIOTIN REPAIR SHAMPOO. Made in Canada, this organic shampoo is free of sulphates, parabens, phthalates and gluten and is not tested on animals. Formulated with marine collagen and biotin, it is recommended for dry, damaged and processed hair. Best part is that it leaves my hair super soft, manageable, full of volume and smelling wonderful. And it has a great price point, too!
FOOD AND DRINK
One of my favorite sparkling wines is finally back in stock, yippee!! So we purchased two cases of BIUTIFUL– a Cava Brut Rosé. Although we love this easy-to-drink bubbly, sometimes we don’t finish the bottle. So this CHAMPAGNE STOPPER always comes in handy… it’s well priced and such great quality. I can’t stop raving about it because it’s one of my most used kitchen gadgets. Makes a great hostess gift, too!
And last but definitely not least, I am sharing the recipe of my FATTOUSH SALAD, which was on heavy rotation this month. You have to try this easy-to-prep recipe … It has the perfect crunch, freshness and tanginess – all in each and every delicious bite!
So there you have them… a round-up of all my favourites for the month of March. Tried and true!
