Those in my circle know I love animal prints. A good portion of my clothes and accessories closet is dedicated to leopard, croc and snakeskin. And in Fall and Winter they come out in full force! On those grey, cold and dreary days wearing an animal print gives my outfit that much needed extra punch.
The leopard print has been IN since the 1960’s. For a time it was seen as tacky, old-fashioned and even overdone, but in this age of “fashion freedom” it is now considered to be a neutral and somewhat tame. Lol! Leopard is a pattern that transcends age, style and body size. Every year it shows up on the fashion radar and it is not going out of style anytime soon.
Yes, it is a bold statement, but the trick to pulling it off is in how you incorporate it with your existing pieces. I love pairing it with neutrals- black, cream, beige or denim. I also mix in elevated accessories for a chic, timeless and modern vibe.
If you love the print but are not brave enough to wear it as a full focal point, try to work it in your outfit in small doses or as an accessory – a belt, scarf, shoe or handbag. Heck, nowadays you can even find hair scrunchies in leopard!
